What is English First People?

​This course focuses on authentic First Peoples texts and worldviews, These courses are the academic equivalent to standard English courses but are designed to support reconciliation by incorporating First Peoples' knowledge, perspectives, and voices through a variety of media, including oral, written, and visual works.

This course is mainly based on the learning experience of students’ pervious ELA courses and the oral and written literature of the First Nation.It can enable students to explore, expond and strengthen their critical and creative thinking when writing.

Students will explore in different ways and create interesting work.Students can express and communicate in different situation.They also need to understand aspect of Canada's past, present and future aspect of the First Nation.
The curriculum is open to all students, Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike, and is a component of the province's commitment to reconciliation.
